a wake-up moment for the idiot
It absolutely will not be this. There is no evidence to suggest this. Brexit was not a wake up call, the UK is going to elect Farage.

That is pretty funny. If it was in a sci-fi novel I’d lol and give them credit for a nicely constructed allegory.

in 2026 days = years, how many more days until the burgerreich announces their final solution on fox news?

I’m not going to use that website to check, but is nobody making Tim Apple deepfakes to goad him? Cant somebody just ask it to recreate that emo-Elon picture that he tried to ban?

the ‘rules’ really dont matter in that country, or matter to that country

I swear, every time someone demonstrates virtue, another accuses them of signalling.
It’s like it’s impossible to imagine someone doing something good. The only possible reason somebody might do it is if another person perceives them positively from doing so.
This transactional yanqui culture runs so deep.

I admit, it was a poorly worded, poorly informed question. It should have said something more like, “I am surprised this browser is open source, despite everything”

Is Brave open source now?

What does 100k yanquidollars even buy these days? One NVIDIA? A banana?
I did try, but the lack of contrast made it basically unreadable.

“Nobody knows what its like, to be gestaaaapooooo”

strongly-worded letters to each other
I’ve kind of always liked that about the EU, in principle. Valuing diplomacy and debate over brash, sweeping decisions. It seems, if nothing else, slightly more democratic. Politicians are debating because they’re representing opposing ideas, which in turn represent the people that voted for them.
But this united front of idiot forces with slogans like m.a.g.a, take back control, stop the boats and doubtless others in languages that I dont understand, they don’t sit around and debate.
I guess what I’m saying is that what should have been the EUs greatest strength, is in fact, today, one of it’s greatest weaknesses. Unfortunately, being united for a terrible cause is more powerful than being united over basically nothing.

a Ewe away in Rewe?

we’re cooked.
The new-hotness of right-wing nationalism has basically no resistance from the floundering traditional parties. The bloated mass of politicians, fat from the gravy train of post-war Europe, are too inept to provide any counter to this.
I don’t see a realistic way to avoid this.

still a car, tho

Did I just get lucky, or is it really this easy?
Maybe a different way to think of it is, ‘why wouldn’t it be this easy?’. Is the gatekeeper here knowledge and skills, or is it just having capital to invest in the first place?
Personally, I don’t like to give anyone playing this game credit (pun intended), so I know what I’d say.

There’s no good argument for remaining on twitter. It’s just enabling, at this point.
Where I think that adage falls apart is that there’s always someone who is different. If it’s not race, it’s class, religion, ‘politics’, gender, hair colour, smart phone brand. While we continue to believe there’s benefit from separation, the inaction will continue.
Right, so the fact that the council leader is no longer employed there means the “diplomat” is advocating the UK ensure a similar fate for twitter? Cool, I’m on board.
