  • I’ve put a few hours into 3 and jumped right back into 2. The warfare in 2 isn’t exactly good, but it’s dogshit in 3. I’ve heard that 3 has been getting better and better, while most mods for 2 have had their development finished. So I guess pirate 3 and see if you like it.

But EU5 looks really promising for a historical materialist simulator, surprisingly. It seems to be leaning away from the very arcadey elements of 4. They’re adding in pops and much more in-depth society simulator stuff. Modern day/ industrial era mods could make it the best communism rp game

  • Happy Gilmore 2 is one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long time. The content of the movie ranges from decent to just lame and unfunny, but what I hate the most about it is how masturbatory it is. Every other scene is referencing an event in the first movie, or a flashback to the first movie, or a returning character from the first movie. Also some famous golfers are in it and Rory McIlroy is a terrible actor.

My sister liked it, she called it “a love letter to golf”. I think it’s more like a cum tribute to Adam Sandler slop. Hollywood has abandoned the low-bugdet drama comedy, and now can only point to them and prod at nostalgia. “Hey, remember when we made movies that were pretty much decent? Not just overloaded slop with the biggest actors and inflated budgets? Well, we’re going to make overloaded slop with the biggest actors and an inflated budget to remember those movies.”

The Adam Sandler slop of the past has been mostly replaced by overproduced, corporate CGI slop. Now we get slop starring Adam Sandler, but it’s overproduced, corporate CGI slop, not a classic Sandler Slop.

The existence of this movie is the most offensive thing about it to me. Some corporate fucks were looking for notified to feed on, because they hate creativity and originality, and thought that a lot of gen x and millennials might remember Happy Gilmore fondly, so they made it again.

    Anyway 5/10 it was ok

  • I was expecting Nintendo to permanently shift AAA game prices to 80 bucks, so I’m glad Microsoft have had to roll back on this. Idk why they tried this with the Outer Worlds first though, the franchise doesn’t have the clout to carry the price increase. People will pay 80 dollars for Mario Kart because it’s a very famous and beloved treat. People would pay 80 dollars for a quality Halo or Forza or Bethesda game. Not the Outer Worlds of all things, which is usually considered decent at best.
