Click on it and submit false data, got it.
They’re probably already doing that with a load of their own sockpuppets.

In 2023, Springer retracted a paper co-authored by Bailey [28] on the rapid onset gender dysphoria (ROGD) hypothesis “due to concerns about lack of informed consent”, which had been published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior.
Won’t they be charged extra when you click on it?
Check out AdNauseum, it’s like ublock origin except it “clicks” on every ad you come across. It uses a little bit more of your bandwidth and ram but I think it’s totally worth it
I know that addon, but decided against.
Prime argument against it is that a major reason I use ublock is security.
Ad links lead sometimes to trojan distributing sites, and I really don’t want to catch a drive-by virus…That’s not how AdNauseam works. It sends a network request, but ignores the response. This basically “pokes” the ad server, triggering a payout.
FWIW, AdNauseam is based on uBlock Origin.
yeah, I would click and forget for them to pay
Wait, what? Have I been wrong about how ads work this whole time?
Each time you load the page, there’s an auction to sell ad spots. The advertiser has to pay their bid once you click on the add.
A lot of ads also run on conversion. Some and networks don’t charge right away until a user converts.
If they’re being scientific wouldn’t contributing your data make their results say what they don’t went them to though, even if their intent is transphobic? I’m not on Reddit though so I haven’t seen these anyway
Only if you expect them to actually be scientific, to not misrepresent the data willy-nilly, to not simply drop undesired data and never mention it, to not use manipulative language to make a statistically relevant amount of people answer in a way they want, ecetera.
It’s better to not give them shit at all.
