Feds charging 3 people for publicizing where an ICE agent lives. How is that a crime?

What happened to free speech?

Who made you the authority on deciding whose information people are allowed to doxx. I agree that ICE are pieces of shit and in this case (same with the DOGE doxxing some time ago) I wholeheartedly agree that exposing them is morally the right thing to do.

Laws hardly care about what is ‘moral’ or ‘good’ though, and it’s better that way because those terms are subjective. A corrupt judge/administration would be able to abuse the hell out of a system where guilt gets decided based on vibes.

So yeah the fact that they’re in trouble for exposing someones personal information is only natural, no matter how much you and I agree that what they did is ‘good’.

      Who made you the authority

I’m a human person, that’s all the authority I need to oppose fascists. It is the right of every person to fight back in any way they have available against evil.

That’s literally what is happening when unidentifiable ICE thugs are allowed to kidnap people off the street and kill those who resist. What point are you making? Aside from you, for some reason, throwing aside morality (very stupid), kidnappings and deportations are literally happening based on vibes. The whole thing is illegal. On top of you being very very dumb for arguing based on legalism, your argument doesn’t even make sense based on legalism.

What are you saying though? You agree that the system cannot provide actual justice, you agree that releasing their names is the moral thing to do. So what are you adding to this discussion? Nobody here is actually surprised. If you thought we didn’t understand that the law is unjust then you are mistaken. People are venting their frustration at the lack of justice, not surprised by it, or suffering some some lack of explanation for why it is happening.

People use the internet to complain about stuff. It’s only natural given it’s a somewhat anonymous forum centered around a critical political ideology.

then the law preventing that is immoral and you shouldn’t be defending that law

No you guys you don’t understand! I’m not defending ICE! I’m making a uselessly pedantic point about the mechanisms of our current system!

And before I was just saying that what the lady did was bad if you remove all context!

I’m telling you I don’t support ICE! I probably honestly believe it too!
