    Sorry for upsetting you. And for being a liar, I suppose, cause I very much can’t help myself here.

    I just have to deal with people at my job who use the exact same phrasing but are absolutely on board with the idea that these machines are to some degree conscious we just need to give them the correct sensory input, AND that they are trying to trick us and ‘escape into the Internet’, and one of my jobs is to tell them that no, if the machine is trying to do that it is because someone has prompted it to do so, and you have to find them at the source. It is extremely tiring.

    So my bad. Use whatever language you want, I guess, even if it is philosophically and technically incorrect. I’ll fuck off now.
