Over the past year or so I’ve seen “chud” cross over from Chapo-adjacent online leftist spaces to general internet lingo. In the process it seems like the meaning has shifted though. To me it was a catch-all term for dumb and buffoonish right-wingers and fascists in general 
It seems in non-leftist usage chud is just the school shooter wojak and basically means “weird ugly unemployed redditor with mass murder fantasies and implied autism.” The chud is not worthy of scorn because of his far-right politics, but because he is cringe. The original political context of the word has been stripped and replaced by ableism

In the sub era it was a catch-all for the emerging facebook-4chan coalition of gen x thin blue line shirt divorcés and millennial rhodesian flag-waving channers who found common ground in excising the sense of shame from their souls to more efficiently post Pepe edits of Trump
From like 2021-2023 it fell into relative obscurity outside of here until entering low rotation among some channers as a Cringe Soy Redditism to be dropped by their composite character of like 50 different genres of redditors in greentexts where they Soyed Out over ppl still liking pewdiepie or some other shit no one actually cares abt
Everything changed when the chudjak dropped (originally known as “le /pol/face”, we had an emote of it but it got banned bc it was of the guy who committed a massacre at a walmart and/or went against the bodyshaming regulations), bc once ppl started actually calling it the chudjak (first jokingly, later sincerely) chuddiness was principally associated with being an annoying channer, with the political dimension being reduced to an undertone

I think that even this site is subconsciously narrowing chuddiness down to the 4chan/4chan adjacent wing of fascism, the punisher skull dudes are just classified as Hogs here nowadays. You forget not everyone from /r/CTH came here, that sub was huge and hugely influential. Before the admins started attacking it there were times it hit the front page or near it. So it entered into rad-lib parlance and was floating around for a while IMO with increasing usage.
