Experiencing fascism is so much different from getting the plato’s cave treatment as a child

Speaking of childish “You’re mad at me murdering someone in the street with dozens of witnesses so now I’m going to go even further”

Fascism is having a gigantic fucking tantrum and the only acceptable reaction is congratulations

If the ICE fuckers roll up plainclothes, I could see some chud going panic mode. That would be deliciously ironic, some xenophobic reactionary accidentally putting a new hole in an ICE agent’s head because they thought it was the FEMA secret police or something.

I feel like they are mostly only in the “seriously thinking of buying a gun” phase which will take a few more instances of things happenings before they actually buy them. Then there’s a massive gap between a newly gun owning lib, and a lib that would actually think of using it on an officer, especially if the circumstance is just “greeting” someone at the door and answering some questions, which would fall squarely within their civility realm.

            • You can get some guns you can bet your life on for $200-$250.

Mossberg Maverick 88 - $250 new. S&W Shield or SD9. Beretta APX A1 (or the first gen APX). Ruger Security 9 Used basic Palmetto State Armory guns will go for a song. A no-frills AR type rifle can go $400 new, but do your research because quality control is a mixed bag - but some of them are perfectly serviceable.

Realistically, there’s a lot of guns out there that a few range trips will be more in ammo than the gun costs.

If you have a Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shop near you, you can look at their joint nation wide used inventory, no shipping and no FFL fee within their network so it’s just the price plus tax and it’ll arrive at your nearest store.

Stick with the common calibers: .22 LR for cheap training 9mm for handguns 5.56 for rifle (5.56 rifles can shoot .223 Remington, but .223 Remington rifles are not designed to take the pressure of 5.56.) 12 gauge for shotgun If you want a high power rifle round go with .308 Winchester. For the majority of cases of concern for “civil unrest” 9mm and 5.56.

DO NOT BUY SCCY PISTOLS. Get factory loaded ammo, get some good defensive ammo to test in your gun then hold a reserve of it. Use the cheap stuff for practice. Practice pistol more than rifle, it’s harder to get good at. Try and get out once a month to shoot -$20 a month in ammo to keep you familiar with it.

              Hmu if you have questions.

Thanks, i didn’t know they came so cheap. I only have $50 this month outside of rent and food but I will save up and get something soon then. Thanks again

                • Yeah, but if all you have is $50 left over for the month, your probably better off just saving up in general tbh.

If that’s a regular month then it’s 5 months to get a $250 gun. You might have to buy a permit to purchase in your state too (probably like $10). Doesn’t seem worth it till you get a better income stream.

Remember when they raided that whole apartment building in Chicago, I think? There was one guy who had extra locks on his door and basically slept through it. Outside of the kind of shit we all actually want to do, look into hardening your door.

I literally think we have 6 months post market correction, which i think is another year or two out. We’re definitely cancelling the next presidential election though, or very blatantly rigging it.

If you have a metal doorknob you can hook a car battery to it from the inside. If theres a hallway after your door, fishing line at just below knee height can make unsuspecting idiots rushing in trip in a comic fashion. You want as much length as possible and differences in height between wires so if they avoid one they’ll likely catch another. Get a decent gas mask and a shit load of bear mace in you dont hace pets and let them fucking rip. Also just do not answer the door. Aside from dont answer the door all of the advice is incredibly illegal, but ive had to go Home Alone before due to being targeted by a crackhead who decided I was sleeping with someone he was that he thought was his girlfriend, she just figured they were banging

It’s not about the Voltage, it’s about the Amps. A car battery hurts like a mf and you’ll get sparks flying.

You can touch both terminals of a car battery with one hand and nothing will happen. If you short both with jumper cables it will spark. Maybe if you connect both ends to one side of a door handle it will heat up, I guess it depends on the material in the door handle and how conductive it is?

People say it’s not about the voltage, it’s the amperage and stuff all the time. The current running through your body IS what damages it, but in truth both are related to each other - higher voltage means higher amperage. For it to be dangerous to a human being, you need high voltage. High amperage comes from high voltage and/or low resistance, and human flesh/organs etc have a high electrical resistance. Typically anything below 50VAC or 120VDC is considered safe for adults to touch under dry conditions (I think that’s in an IEC standard somewhere)

bug-facts Cool bug fact: you can purchase a flash bulb online powerful enough to instantly and permemantly obliterate the human retina, and it’s light enough to mount on just about anything. With just a little bit of electrical know-how easily learned online, you can take some very bright pictures!
