Really liked Wolfenstein 2, but be aware its very much building a resistance movement rather than overthrowing the nazis, it doesnt really pull a cohesive politics together other than being left friendly and punching right constantly. Still very cool, and theres a lot to be said about how good the story of BJ and his parents comes together.

DOS 2 fucking rocks. Really thought the story was going to be bog standard but I’ll be damned it throws some fucking curveballs here and there.

the devs fucking peaced out for like a year straight. I was also enjoying it but I didnt have anyone to play with.

They feel so extremely thick to start and then taper down as they go on but goddamn, I also just bounce off of them from so many decisions I have no scope or understanding of. Really like Divinity Original Sin 2 though so if you haven’t you might really love that game.

Book of Hours, I really enjoyed Cultist Simulator and I was pretty hyped that they announced a CRPG in the same vein. So I figured I should play their other title, BoH. I was feeling pretty bounced off of it at first but the structure of the gameplay loop finally kicked in about 3 hours in and once I started to be able to read esoteric lore slop I was hooked again. I feel like I’m only a quarter of the way through it but damn the upgrade from the CS’s more minimalist art to this is so fucking good.
