I agree that holds up when you generalize but breaks down with the particulars/context and shows something more as you sort them out. Like yeah obviously a court is going to charge along that reasoning that’s why the DA or whoever brought it to trial.
The issue isn’t weather or not you’re legally allowed to doxx people the issue is: ICE is illegally doing… everything basically. BUT, the law/state seems to only (meaningfully) fix its gaze when people do illegal things back to them. Where does that leave people when they can’t expect to use legal recourse as a check to protect themselves?
I think that’s the most important part of this event imo. Not weather or not we agree or disagree about the legal permissibility of doxxing and who’s “”““right””“” but how the state here is selectively enforcing the law in bad faith to run cover for doing more and more heinous, immoral and nominally illegal things.
