Can I ask why is eldership favored over new blood? Both have their strengths and weaknesses.

If I am really trying to build socialism then that inherently means new recruits will learn faster than I did. Otherwise I’m doing something wrong. The pitfalls is immediately promoting new potential into leadership position, rather they should be given work tasks to demonstrate their capabilities, through practice. Incidentally, this is also the only correct way to do a “purity test” through practical application of socialism.

If they’re a socialist they’re doing good. If they’re not then they’re self destructing, also good. Once they see you’ve realized this they’ll try to get rid of you so that kind of sucks.

  • My personal take on is is that for various complex reasons CPSU did not manage to establish a strong ideological core that would be able to withstand the cold war. Stalin was simply a useful too to pin all the bad things on while still maintaining the appearance of communism, until it could be overthrown altogether. Who wanted to overthrow it and who did it without thinking? Don’t know exactly, probably never will.

A single person cannot and will never in the history on the entire world do anything other than what their own body is capable of, their image, name and stories left will always be infinitely more impactful than their own work, because those stories are shared by the work of others, for their own reasons. It’s quite clear who benefits from Stalin being turned into a demonic figure, regardless of their intent their action speak for themselves. It is quintessentially anti-Marxist, anti-materialist to ever treat anything in a vacuum.

I’m going on a tangent but my biggest pet peeve kind of related to this is people throwing out the “I have no enemies…” line which is not profound at all. That kind of thinking is (one of many) reasons USSR got destroyed. There’s absolutely enemies out there who exploit you so that they don’t need to do shit themselves and you will never be able to convert them from the outside in, they have to be willing to convert themselves.

  • You can thank Neo-Liberalism and the invention of original sin, which goes as follows:

    1. Human beings are inherently evil.
    2. Some humans are forced to be good, for the sake of self-preservation, which means they’re still evil.
    3. We need a 3rd party to govern these evils of humanity and encourage good.
    4. Those who reach the top of the ladder in this evil society must be the most good, they should lead us.
    5. Because they’re still evil, they will do evil when in power, it has to be rotated constantly.
    6. Evil will eventually take over anyways and society will be forced to do good, to stop it.
    7. The only people who want to overthrow evil are those who suffer enough under another evil’s heel.
    8. All you can do is isolate yourself in a little bubble and wait for things to get worse enough.

Socialism/Communism doesn’t work, if it did it’d mean it’s our own fault the world is like this, either because we lack the knowledge of how to improve it or because we don’t wanna improve.

The hardest battle in the liberation of slaves isn’t picking up the gun, it’s not going into war… it’s picking up the shovel yourself, so that your slave doesn’t need to do all the work for you.

  • The right choice is the one that brings you the most satisfaction, while producing the less harm for others. A world built on the principles of a win-win cooperation.

We should work together to create such a world. I won’t step on your toes, you won’t step on mine, we’ll find common problems and resolve them. Can you think of any good reason for why anyone should stop us? There isn’t one, they’re either too scared to let go of their treats or they’re too scared to face something new.

Edit: Also for a bit of humor this is what it feels like to go through the world right now: Diogenes looking for a man, attributed to J. H. W. Tischbein (c. 1780)

  • The concept of radical centrism is really frustrating, to me. It’s like they’re almost there to figure out that everything is a struggle of two opposing forces, but they have no understanding of dialectics and if they do, it’s not materialism based. Even if they say it’s based on material reality, the mind is separated from the body, the “mental” plane exists as a sort of goop that can be infinitely molded and is only restricted by the limits of the physical body, it is not seen as being a part of the body.

You can even see it in the scientific language we use, when describing what happens when antimatter and matter collides, it’s seen as annihilation, when it’s just another form of synthesis. I really wish someone like Mao or Lenin was here to give us their view on latest developments humanity has achieved. The best we get now is some pseudo intellectuals funded by mega corps, too afraid to move forward, grown attached to the way things are, unsatisfied with how they are, the only way forward is the past. Forever in a loop.

  • If Aladin had read Lenin he would have wished for a Classless, Stateless society where means of production are organized on the principle: From each according to their ability to each according to their needs.

Instead he just frees 1 guy from the lamp, like come on, really? What no class cosciousness* does to a person…

  • Skyrim would have been a great game, if it was built on the principles of socialism, which is sort of was with the mod community, unfortunately it was built on the principles of liberalism using the wealth and experience acquired from the previous projects.

Once you get to this point in life you only have two choices, no matter what you’re doing, are you willing to invest the money back into human beings? They tried to do something with mods irrc so why not invest capital into establishing a school for devs? Literally could have ended up having the most interesting looking, polished, well run, videogame ever made.

Instead we get this lovable half-assed broken mess carried by both money thrown at advertising campaigns and the mod scene. Yet another example of how short sighted libs are, all the awesome stuff people manage to build is an exception that proves it. All that effort displayed by wondering adventurers would get multiplied if they worked together. I mean what was that Baldurs Gate sort of shows it. Now imagine if a Game company had 1.000-10.000 workers in-house, guaranteed employment, 8 hours of sleep a night, lunch breaks, shared goal, instead of what they have had.

Although gamers don’t deserve it, so scratch that. The developers do tho’
