I am an adult, and I am not unfit, but if I take a spill from Heelys I hope they pull the plug on my vegetable self.
Had a pair in my teens. Got another in my 20s. I’m currently mid 30s and still wear them to grocery shop. It saves time and makes it more fun. It takes a lot of practice to find your balance but once you do it’s pretty easy, kind of like hover boards. I’ve only majorly busted my ass once ever due to a rock.
they do make adult Heelys all the way up to 15M US. that’s 14.5 UK and 49 EU.

I’m guessing that by now Heelies are just running on top of brand recognition. Surely by now there is some competition offering a better product?
i don’t think so but I haven’t looked into it. surely shoes with passive wheels are kind of a very niche thing, given how mediocre the apparently best attempt at it (Heelys) is.

because adults have slower reflexes, so when they inevitably fall over, they actually hurt themselves, different than children.
have you seen a single child in your life? they have terrible reflexes.
yeah but they still don’t typically take (permanent) harm when they fall. i.e. faster regeneration, lower body mass (therefore lower impact momentum) and better strength-to-mass ratio overall.
consider how insects can literally fall off the roof of a skyscraper without hurting themselves, because smaller organisms have better mechanical stats in relation to their body mass. something about laws of physics.
I was about to ask what heely was and then i remembered it is 2026 and we are on the internet and now i want a pair. Thank you for reminding me that roller shoes still exist!!
