    That’s a functional faraday shield though (If it’s steel mesh, I can’t quite tell.
    I mean it isn’t doing anything useful, but he built a totally functional device.

      But the head part, bottom part, wall part and top part are open. It’s not a Faraday cage at all. It’s just some mesh on two sides of the bed. Charge needs to be able to flow all around to cancel out outside fields. So it would need both more mesh and good conductive connection between the sides to “work” (not that there’s any point to it anyway).

        Edit: okay so yeah this is pointless. But you don’t need the top or the bottom part to be covered for it to be a functional faraday shield.
