      yeah it’s the English name of the company that they chose. literal translation is “Little Red Book” but that is too heavily connoted for a western audience

          i know a nato anarchist who thinks they named it after that but is too ignorant to realize the chinese name of mao’s little red book is something else so that doesn’t make sense as a name for what was intended as a domestic service.

          it’s programmed into the boomers but they really dialed back the “Chicom” scare stuff in the mid-to-late 70s. let’s just say America’s gerontocracy would not like it
