    This is considered pretty weird in most English speaking countries. Like I know it’s a huge problem and I still have a knee jerk “get the fuck away from me” reaction to most strangers trying to start a conversation.

        You get a lot more random conversing and small talk in the South. I usually can’t walk around in my town without at least 5 or 6 people stopping me to chat for a sec. Going to a brewery here is like going to a highschool, everyone’s all cliqued up and knows each other.

        That being said, there’s still tons of weird asd dudes who think that just because a woman said “how’s it going?” to them that it’s okay to start stalking them. Luckily word spreads fast lol
