New Mexico is changing it’s name to New Venus.

It’s improving but still a lot of UX jank in Immich. The map feature still sucks 2 years on. Not sure the demo instance, full of bad images and images of half eaten plates of food, is doing uptake any favors. UX suffers from the whitespace gremlin, especially the menu.

Photoprism has much better UX but still some jank to address. Same whitespace gremlin in the menu. Neither solution has smart albums. Neither solution offers any convenience editing such as simply rotating a photo.

Thunderbird is great if you like using an email client that looks like its user interface was designed in 1996.
