I did not know this. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your experience, I didn’t realise it was a pop-up hell hole as I use blockers.
In future I’ll paste the review text here too.
Used an old eee701 as a server for a fair while, pretty sure that was equal or less power usage than the Pis at the time.
True. And the comments after that agree that the main point still stands.
This comment sums it up pretty well:
“If you watch the video you will understand the title is a bit of a clickbait. He is not buying Commodore, he wants to deal to get cheaper licensing fees for whoever wishes to use the Commodore name. For example Ultimate64 could become the official Commodore FPGA board. I don’t see this changing anything to be honest. Unless this will mean that we can buy a brand new C64 based on Ultimate64 (with case, keyboard, keycaps etc) at a sub 200€ with VAT price. Which I doubt.”
Huzzah!
" The minimal configuration for a NetBSD/i386 system requires at least 32M of RAM and 512M of disk space. Smaller configurations are possible, but require e.g. custom kernel configurations.
Any i486 or better CPU should work - genuine Intel or a compatible such as Cyrix, AMD, or NexGen."
Can always go for NetBSD?
Yeah, happened upon it again while I was reading up on their new hardware. Figured it was worth sharing.
Enjoy!
Yup
Here’s hoping you get some money!
Or just chuck a large amount into some savings thing regardless. I’ve known of those even with financial planners to have it all go horribly wrong.
Vacationing anywhere or anyhow in particular?
Done! Cheers
