But what about all the AI slop in the web results?
Just dropping one of my favorites here…
I could be wrong, but I have a suspicion that you still won’t be able to once it’s paid off. I’ve run into the issue a few times in the past when buying an “unlocked” Pixel from Amazon that was carrier unlocked, but the bootloader was still not unlockable. A “carrier unlocked” phone allows you to use the phone on any carrier, but doesn’t always guarantee an unlockable bootloader.
I don’t even like podcasts, but where do I subscribe to your’s??
I was definitely still drawing/writing on my walls in high school, and I’m not even “artsy”.
Hey! I know some of those words!
Depending on a variety of factors, I generally like my space to be 18-22°C during waking hours, and maybe 16-20°C for sleeping.
I’m born and raised in the US, so I grew up on Fahrenheit, but switched my phone to Celsius about 10 years ago because I wanted to better understand the scale and have stuck with it ever since. I really don’t need to know the exact temperature when I check the weather, just an estimate of whether I should dress for “hot”, “cold”, or “mild”. One of the “tricks” I heard early on was similar: 0°C is freezing. 10°C is cold. 20°C is comfortable. 30°C is warm/hot. 40°C is fucking hot.
Ooh! Can we be cake buddies? When it comes to cake, corner pieces are my favorite because the icing is usually the only part I want.
It really depends on the garment. I’ve rarely ever ironed my clothes, only random occasions where the item I want to wear got wrinkled and I didn’t have the time to fix it any other way. I’ve also never had a job that required anything fancier than business casual, so that could be part of it.
So nothing actually exceeds current federal limits, and only a few exceed recently enacted state limits. Why do I have the strange feeling that nothing’s actually going to change?

I don’t believe they actively intended to exclude anyone, but there is/was Dull Men’s Club, and I believe they’ve recently rebranded to “Dullsters”.
Damn. For us unlucky Americans, it only appears to support San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL; and Austin, TX.
Yeah, the low cost spay/neuter clinics around me are booked solid and have been for years. I had to book mine 2 or 3 months out, and it wasn’t even a true “low cost” clinic.
Looking at pricing at regular vet clinics, spay can be $500-700, and there’s extra fees if she happens to be in heat or pregnant when your appointment finally rolls around, and it’s not clear from my brief search whether those prices include anesthesia, pre-op blood work, etc. The low cost clinics range from free to $120 for spay.
Oh sweet! I just did a super quick test on a random file and it definitely handled my very basic editing tasks easily, and the new PDF lets me copy/paste text from it the way I’d expect it to. Thanks!
Awesome! Indoors will help a lot to keep them warm and safe from predators and disease. In my region, most rescues say they have a minimum 2 week lead time to accept any new animals, so if you’re able to get in touch now and let them know you’re willing to foster them until they’re ready for spay/neuter, that often helps a lot to secure a spot in their program, and they might even provide you some supplies.
Sounds to me that you might be a great addition to the local foster team, and then you could take in new kittens once the current ones are ready for homes!
PDFs are absolutely editable, but usually you need paid application for that. Thanks to some dumbassery in my previous job, I had to use the paid version of Adobe because I regularly had to edit PDFs. There are some security options that can make PDFs more challenging to edit, even with the paid tools, but I’ve always found ways around those too, usually by simply using “Print to PDF”, then editing the output file.
I have a little family of 3 kittens right now also! :) Mine are fosters and probably about 2.5 weeks old.
Have you helped raise kittens before? Since they have their moms, it will hopefully be pretty easy and pure joy for you, but things can still go wrong, and it can happen super quickly, so it’s great to have some emergency supplies on hand. Do you already have spay/neuter arranged for all of them? Happy to help any way I can!
Ugh, I indirectly feel your pain. I don’t have the issue with cold, but just didn’t enjoy the touch controls on any earbuds I’ve tried, so I’m stuck using my older, slowly falling apart earbuds with inline controls. The earbuds have a wire connecting the two buds, and there’s a little lump of plastic along the wire with 3 buttons, but there’s no wire connecting them to the device. Short press turns volume up, down, pause/play. It also has functions mapped to long press and double press for things like next/previous, assistant, and I forget what else.
It’s super hard to find any headphones lately that are Bluetooth, but still have a wire connecting the two ear pieces, and therefore a spot for the inline controls. I have no clue about the quality of these, just linking as an example of the style that has worked well for me: https://www.amazon.com/Scosche-Rechargeable-Bluetooth-Microphone-Isolating/dp/B01KU7EYZO
I don’t actually do all that many image searches. I’m usually searching for text based pages, and those results have also gotten super terrible, but this doesn’t seem to have any impact on that.
