I got banned a few days ago because my account got hacked and spammed a bunch of NSFW posts, they said I broke rules and I appealed only for them to come back and say we reviewed and feel like a permaban is still needed. I appealed again and they finally changed it to a temp ban and sited I broke rule 2 which was spamming or fake posts yet I was the one who reported it to them. I remembered Lemmy from a post last year when the boycott US started and finally kicked my butt over here and I’m very happy I did.
My sister is turning into one and there’s nothing stopping it because her husband works in the rigs and is in an echo chamber of bs lies but telling her that just makes her double down and think she’s so much smarter because she’s going to university and has her own successful small business.
