Best list I’ve seen, thanks.
Obese gray male, introverted, cranky, woke but needs a nap. Enjoys solitude, old movies, long bus rides, and a good bowel movement.
Best list I’ve seen, thanks.
I’m surprised it’s lasted through several months of Trump. So much science to be obliterated, please be patient, we’re ruining things as quick as we can!
Totally bogus. The effect of one person eating a roast beef sandwich and side of chips is so nearly nothing it rounds to nothing. Saying, “If you choose to eat meat, you’re causing loads of climate damage,” is bald-faced misinformation.
No. It’s not 2/3 of climate change caused by wealthy bastards, it’s 100%.
Non-wealthy people don’t own factories spewing heat and trash into the air. Non-wealthy people might own cars, but they don’t design and build those cars to constantly spew dangerous & deadly emissions — wealthy people are responsible for that, and for the lack of a healthier, greener choice for transportation. It’s wealthy bastards who’ve fought against regulations reducing pollution, wealthy bastards who oppose public transit, and wealthy bastards who profit from the climate change that’ll eventually kill the rest of us.
Fuck if I’m causing 1/3 of climate change. Fuck, no.
Wealthy bastards make sure environmental protection is a punchline, and wrap everything in plastic like Laura Palmer. The rich are at the heart of every vile thing that’s being done to the planet. Virtually all of man-made climate change is caused by rich bastards.
Some days reading the news and surfing the net, you are the only smile I can find. Thanks, BM Hole.
Tracking people across the internet ought to be forbidden by law.
That would be glorious. One down, 49 to go, and the District of Columbia.
You can read c/autism and post comments there without joining anything at all.
I’m surprised it’s asking you for an ‘invite’, though. Never seen that. I’d suggest sending a note to the listed moderator. Just click ‘send message’ on their page.
Lemmy is kinda confusing, but it’s worth the hassle. (:
The real problem is all the anti-Semitism.
So, so, so very right on, dude. This is the situation, and that is the answer.
But what alternative is there, to following the law?
Fixed, thanks.
Monkeys will fly out of my bunghole before this trial could amount to anything but a lot of lawyers’ paydays.
The road to today was littered with “Trump is nuts, but he’s not nuts enough to do that.”
Only rich people have rights.
In the pre-Trump era, did the US government claim power to deport people for their beliefs? All I’m remembering is the BS war on terror, but I thought they had to prove financial or material supported for some alleged bad guys?
Agreed, it’s a touch exclusionary and elitist for FAIR to critique the NY Times while providing only paywalled links to what they’re critiquing. Any NY Times article (except articles heavy on moving graphics) can be accessed via archive.ph. FAIR should say so.
My opinion is, Cuomo’s awful and FAIR has been doing good work for almost 40 years. It’s good work I don’t closely follow, though. I already understand that the media has its dumbshit and often bullshit preconceptions, and FAIR’s mission is making sure people re- and re-understanding that, but understanding it again and again doesn’t help me further.
It takes brains and money for foreign kids to be accepted at American universities, so these are future movers-and-shakers in their home countries. When they return, they’ll spend the rest of their lives justifiably badmouthing the U S of A, warning others to stay away. Like so much of what Trump is doing, the repercussions will live on, long after he’s gone.
Excellent link round-up, by the way.
I must cordially vote ixnay. Shorter headlines are better, and should be encouraged.
