My grandmother fancies herself a Christian. She hates black people, gay people, trans people, and democrats.

Reminds me of the Ghandi quote- “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

Lord, make me an instrument of Your profit.

Where there is love, let me sow division;

where there is pardon, injury;

where there is faith, doubt;

where there is hope, despair

where there is light, darkness

where there is joy, sadness

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to work as to be worked for;

to be held to account as to lobby;

to love as to be loved;

For it is in owning that we receive;

it is in punishing that we are vindicated;

it is in killing that we can revel in our continued life.
