I had lib friends that would do this native American thing. Their parents would lie or maybe have been lied to and say they had a lot of Cherokee in them. So these libs will make it part of their identity until the 23 and me results come in and they realize they’re not that native after all. Like, if a full blooded native American came up to me, said he was my dad, gave me all the documents to prove it, and it turned out I was over half Cherokee it wouldn’t make me native American, that’s just not my lived experience. Had a similar experience at a psych ward. Was stuck there for almost two weeks, no way I had a job or place to live after all that. And the best they could do was give me some pills I couldn’t afford to keep taking, tell me to just go back and live with my abusers, then smiled and asked how I planned to pay for it. And I must have had this look on my face because this person has this big, fake grin like a stepford wife where they’re trying so hard to smile they look nervous and said “I know you expect your parents to pay for this but you’re an adult now” and like, I wasn’t thinking that, I was thinking how these people whose job it is to help people ostensibly, were about to shove me out into the street, orders of magnitudes worse off than when I came in.

If they’re not available until February of next year then a lot of the models and textures could be changed or updated by then. Not entirely related but I couldn’t stand the newer Tomb Raider games. I could only play for 15 minutes at a time before I got bored. Reminded me a lot of Max Payne 3 where it just dragged on and on and on, just the same repetitive shootouts in a way I never felt with the first two Max Payne games. Couldn’t even care about the story because as soon as I’d be surprised that a character double crossed me it’d turn out they actually triple double crossed me, and oh now they’re dead so who cares. Who was that guy again? Oh well, on to the next set piece. I swear there was a whole Era of AAA games that were boring as fuck.

Freedom and personal liberty seem like vague nothing words that get thrown out by liberals. I see a lot of being allowed the freedom to buy a deathtrap vehicle and the personal liberty to look at weird things on the internet but thats about it. But what are some concrete freedoms that a Chinese person isn’t allowed to do vs an American? Are there some personal liberties that you think AES countries, past or present, have restricted that went too far in your opinion? Was that thing about East Germany not letting people listen to rock music true? Are you allowed to make fun of Xi on Chinese internet?
