  • Big assumption on my part, but I’m guessing it’s got something to do with missionary work. I’ve seen videos in the past of american evangelicals having a less than positive reception to their attempts at ‘converting the jews’ (no shit right). The videos would then spread in right wing spaces online, being signal boosted by neo nazis.

    I imagine the historical churches are more interested in their local communities and holdings, as well as pilgrims. I don’t expect the Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Armenians, Syriacs or Copts to genuinely care if the local muslims and jews will convert or not. If anything, they should be competing with each other and the Protestants instead.
