FUCKING CAPITALISM
August and September need some more/better holidays
i support halloween’s expansionism as a counterpoint to the christmas pact
well yeah, they need time to clear it out before the christmas stuff goes up in august
Not a single Labor Day decoration for sale in sight. Makes one think.
Halloween is in October. OCT-ober, eight month. Now stop thinking and buy this ludicrously overpriced shit
They’re trying really hard to make Summerween a thing when it’s literally a joke from Gravity Falls about how they wanted to do a Halloween episode but the constraints of the show required it to be in Summer
The aggressive annexation of Halloween’s day-after territory by Christmas has created a flow of refugees day-beforewards.
I love Halloween but I hate how commercialized it is. I want to see more handmade spooky decorations / costumes and less overpriced licensed franchise merch
and yeah putting this shit up in July is crazy. imo spooky season starts no earlier than the autumnal equinox
It is impossible to be spooky if the sun sets after 7pm.
I freaking love fall and halloween, but yeah this is way too fuckin early
Christmas In July? Nah we on that All Hallows Eve August shit
i went outside today and almost got heat stroke and you want me to think about halloween? the fuck
One year they sold those 15 foot tall skeletons and now there are people who still just have them standing around in their yards year round

the one comment from the megathread is forever burned into my consciousness

I like to wake up the day after Halloween and tell people “Woohoo! It’s Christmas season!” until it upsets someone.

damn this is a no nonsense get your shit and get out store
All big retailers look like this in the US. There’s plenty of small shops that are actually nice in the cities, but the citizens of America predominantly shop in stores such as the one pictured above. Though less and less are even bothering to do that and instead getting everything delivered to them
oh i’m familiar (some would say… too familiar)
someone else said costco which i have never been inside.
“Why drive my big vehicle to store for 80 lb bag of toothpaste when it can be delivered to my porch in an even bigger vehicle?”
Costco, one of America’s most beloved shopping destinations. They all look exactly like this
They really do, even in overseas locations.
ahh ok never been in one. thought u have to be a member to go inside
Some retailer figured out that people buy Halloween stuff a month before and since they’ve been pushing it back, trying to force customers to buy more shit during the summer. That way Q3 stuff looks better and everything isn’t lumped into Q4.
