In middle school I had a social studies teacher who insisted that Europe and Asia were one continent but Greenland was the secret seventh continent.

Hi Points are kinda garbage but you paid $100 which is exactly the price that they are supposed to be.

For anyone who wants their own.

They towed the truck and someone got it on video (don’t know how to link video, but it’s on the Portland reddit). Intact windshield, tarp covering the driver side window.

102nd and 146th are very different places. Like a 15 minute drive apart. What the fuck happened?

It’s confusing. The article says it happened at 102nd and main (which is Adventist Health), but then also says it happened at 146th and Burnside? That’s like a 15 minute drive between those locations.

For y’all not familiar with Portland, we call this area “out in the numbers” and it’s generally where there is (slightly) cheaper housing, more poor people, and more immigrants.
I’m bad at doing the tax deduction thing right so I always get a big return so I do it asap.

There is no way his entire family isn’t swimming in credible death threats right now, and after those state reps got got I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s scared of that.
But it absolutely looks like a “you got me” thing.

All my local subreddits are full of “real Venezuelans are celebrating and protesters are just upset white kids going against the will of the people.” From accounts with hidden post histories.
I just gotta quit.

I see a lot of “Maduro was a really really bad guy who definitely steals elections, but Trump did this illegally.”
Like there is a correct way to do a coup like this and he didn’t follow the process.

One of the five most misunderstood beings in history. https://youtu.be/3J4xd0njevs

I played Outer Wilds and became one of those cultists who tries to get all my friends to play Outer Wilds. (play Outer Wilds)
I also played Subnautica. Never got to playing Below Zero because of a very specific phobia, but I’m still looking forward to Subnautica 2 despite the drama.
Blue Prince was my GOTY - the puzzles were a lot of fun but I mostly think about the way the game encourages you to decide your own ending point, despite the game going on and on and on. I never quite reclaimed the throne but I definitely got my fill of the game.
Control was okay I guess - I’m a big SCP fan and I liked the exploration, but the combat was so swarmy and tedious that I stopped playing. I really want to like it. Maybe I can mod it into something fun - even turning it into a walking sim might be fine.
I also finally kinda figured out Kerbal Space Program. Sorta.
I also played a lot of Balatro. Too much Balatro.
Honorable mention to The Sexy Brutale for being the worst waste of an excellent premise I’ve seen recently - the game plays kind of like a reverse Hitman game, where you use time shenanigans to sabotage attempts at killing the guests. It’s a lot of fun and at first looks like it’s going to build up into some perfect time loop where you run all over the casino saving everyone, but after the first couple rescues it becomes clear that everything is just spaced too far apart and the whole game is just broken up into levels. Disappointing.

My company is doing a holiday party this year and from what I hear it’s mostly just going to be office staff and most shelter workers won’t be going because it’s a non-mandatory work thing that you have to do on your time off.
My friends in the office are all being pressured to go by their bosses, but I get the sense that the muckymucks are grateful nobody on my team will be going.

I cope by doing what I can to mitigate the harm. Working homeless services is really stressful and the whole nonprofit system has some inherent problems, but my average work day is spent creating a place where people can stay and get connected to free services while homeless, and that feels better than when I worked in a warehouse.

I’m back on Kerbal but this time I have Mechjeb to handle the parts I’m bad at, like flying rockets. Now I can just plan missions and build a good rocket for them, and not worry that I’m going to tap “d” too many times during takeoff and slam into the ocean again.
Now I’m planning a Mun base near the Armstrong Memorial. I could just land my first hab with a lone scientist in it, but I want to get my whole crew xp for the landing so I’m making a big overcomplicated boondoggle that will launch both the habitat and return rocket into munar orbit, where they will detach and land near each other. Then everyone can get out and play in the mun dust before everyone except the scientist climbs into the return rocket.

Maybe I will just be The Flash from the safety of my own couch.

I made a real cool cosplay that I would love to share with the internet, but that involves taking pictures and putting them online and that is scary.

So what’s the peace deal? Are they just going to ask Russia to surrender again?

The Dethalbum was also really good.
She also consistently pronounced “totalitarianism” as “totataliatarianism”. Consistently.
