Yeah, i should have bought an AIO watercooling, but then i had a dad moment and said “i don’t want water anywhere near muh PC i don’t care how safe it is”.
It’ll be fiiiine

I’ve been learning DaVinci Resolve. I wouldn’t recommend anything else whether it’s Windows or Linux, but it happens to be natively compatible with Linux.
Admittedly though i haven’t actually used Premiere because i didn’t make it past the installation process. The only video editor that i’ve spent time in aside from Resolve was Kdenlive, which is clearly not up to par.
It’s a Samsung A21s.
I’m gonna be honest, i don’t know that it’s imposible, i just really don’t like my odds of being able to do it from what i’ve seen of phones being very proprietary and very locked in. It’s a big thing making me scared to try LineageOS. I’m about to build a Linux PC, and it’s way easier to make that decision when i know i can always fall back onto Windows.
This is my first time hearing about this. I’ll see if this is a viable option.
Thanks!
The stability is one thing, but the list of devices you can install it on is really restrictive. Turns out all alternative mobile OSs are like this, they can’t be installed on just anything - or at least that would require technical work that they (correctly) assume the user won’t do.
This time around i intentionally bought a phone that’s compatible with Lineage OS, but i’m scared to do it since i can’t re-install the stock Android if i fuck something up
Yeah i’ve finished restoring my codes. I didn’t know Aegis had this auto backup feature, seems a bit of a security hazard, but it’s not like the FBI is after me or anything
2 is where the trouble starts. I haven’t found a way to properly back up my phone because many (most) parts of the folder structure are not accessible to apps. I can backup the contents of the Downloads or Music folders, but that’s not where the notes app stores notes for example, nor is it where the audio recorder app stores recordings. So most of the data that i actually want backed up is inaccessible.
Google’s backups have also failed me in this case, oddly enough.
That’s an Android issue, and sadly the alternative mobile OSs aren’t as viable as Linux is to desktops
Aegis does offer a function to back up what they call the “vault”, and i really should have done that.
Lemmy is a Reddit clone, Mastodon is a Twitter clone; these are very different types of post in terms of formatting and intended function and such. Honestly, i don’t think they should be so connected.
When reading your title i thought you were talking about how different instances may not communicate, that one i would agree and i think it’s a problem
I missed that somehow!
It has an OSU! logo so you know it’s the real deal
Where is this?
generally what makes insects creepy is long thin legs and scary mandibles. those that don’t have these features can be really cute. bonus points if they’re fluffy.
then again creepy can be cool depending on presentation
That’s true in most cases, but i’ve had a lot more success posting stuff to my furry-specific Mastodon instance than posting hte same thing to generic Twitter and Bluesky. So there’s something to the ability to have a specific audience.
But i genuinely have an issue when i go to upvote or reply and it tells me that i’m not logged in, and that’s when i find out that i’ve accidentally left my instance and am not logged in anymore. That kind of thing shouldn’t happen at all, it shouldn’t be this easy to accidentally land in a different instance.
One Lemmy and one Mastodon. I really like the fediverse promise of interoperability between instances, i hold it up to this promise, and i get annoyed when it fails.
According to the article, it’s done for market research, i.e. finding out who buys what, which is a thing businesses like to know. But also apparently it allows the machine to generate “AI-powered product recommendations”, which i guess means it tailors reccomendations to each user? Which it can do because it has a touch screen, and the touch screen itself already strikes me as full of shit.
That’s what the article says this machine in particular does; but yes, it could totally change the price on you depending on what you look like, and all other kinds of deeply shady things. You can count on a private company to do that kind of thing and then use their favorite argument: it’s technically legal.
There were going to be communities dedicated to talking animals on the internet, that much is certain. Just about everything else was shaped by early founders. Aside from the furry fandom’s very existence which may be inevitable, every part of its shape and characteristics were laid by people like Sysable.
Bookmark them all. And then you sort by “most recent visit” so you see the artists you haven’t checked out in a while
None of my family members know what a furry is and i’m keeping it that way.
i want a turn in a femboy sounds good
i would have never thought of this in 1000 years lol
I want to go on the record that i only spent a little bit more money for the brand and it’s a good brand.
