W długim terminie zaczęło im uświadamiać, że ich wyobrażenia o świecie, wojnie i roli siły militarnej oraz przemysłu z nią powiaznego wymagać mogą poważnej rewizji i ponownego przemyślenia. A to nie są tematy miłe, łatwe i przyjemne. Zwłaszcza jak się wiele surowców dekadami kupowało wyłącznie od Rosji.
