Things have been quite bad for me lately and it’s taking a toll on my cats. It’s now starting to worm into my head that I’m not able to properly take care of these children I’ve had for 13 years. And that in itself is unfair because I have a full time fucking job. Or at least it used to be full time when I guess the economy was better? But if I’m not getting full time hours why am I seeing new faces?

Anyway I never even blogposted much about the last place I had to live. Fucking psycho landlord with a large post worth of stories that ended up in me getting physically assaulted by her. So as of basically two days ago I’m full time living in this new place (I overlapped my rent x.x so that I could survive a sheriff showing up and violating my rights but I also ended up keeping my cats there for a week early when they felt unsafe).

This new place is horrible but I needed to land fast so I grabbed it. My roommates are hoarders. They have a cat of their own that’s unneutered. You can smell the place from the street. And it’s already gone from bad to worse from there. When I go to make my last trip to the old place, I take some of the extra furniture the last tenant left in the room to throw out. They’re both broken, cheap, clashing with my stuff. Except primary guy (not recluse guy) starts freaking out about keeping it and wants me to put it in the hallway. I just do firm ‘no’ and move along so there’s no discussion. He’s blowing my phone up with texts “my roof not yours” shit. I don’t respond (1) because I’m driving (2) I’m coming back that night I can just talk in person. Well that’s not good enough. He hands the phone over to the psycho recluse who proceeds to “bet you wouldn’t like it if one of your cats wasn’t home when you got back”

“Are you threatening to release my cats??”

“Take it however you want to”

So I DON’T finish cleaning the room I just rented and just grab the last of my shit and go back, cramming it all uncomfortably alongside the fucking dresser I’m being blackmailed for that should be in a dump. I get back and both my cats are thankfully still there but the humans (I reluctantly call them) are unrepentant. Narcissisticly bouncing from one rhetorical position to another. “It was just a tactic! You weren’t responding! I would never!” “You deserved it because you took our things” “If you don’t like it maybe you shouldn’t live here”.

So the next day I’m texting with primary because he’s upset I threw his towel he left on the shower curtain rack on the floor. I negotiate a pro-rate on the rent if I leave quickly (wish I had a place now). I’m just full 'fuck you fucking violent psycho threatening my cats and then octupling down on it" mode. I walk past him to go to work and “sorry I’m going to be at work so I’m not going to be fast to respond to your last text. Please don’t poison my fucking cats.”

Offended. How could I portray him like that. He responds “Be respectful.”

And I immediately cut him off. “FUCK YOU”

Out the door.

The last text I got from him was basically threatening to sic his psycho mutt on me. “Don’t make things worse for yourself. Antonio makes me look like an angel.”

So now I’m gonna carry a flip-out box cutter on me and lock every door behind me.
