The rock because in dirty for what I did to one like it. I took it from a gorgeous beach and lost it the next day, dooming it to suburban hell somewhere when it fell out of an unzipped pouch.

    Or it escaped.

The pictures imply a specific definition of “perfect,” and if we’re just going by the pics then that sword stick trumps the smooth rock.

BUT if we get to choose the definition of “perfect” then I’m pretty sure the coolest “rocks” I can imagine finding would trump the coolest “sticks” I can imagine finding.

Yeah I have a bunch of rocks I’ve picked up because they were either extra pretty and cool colours, or just really smooth and a nice shape. I would definitely pick up that stick and swing it around a bit and carry it with me for the rest of the hike, but when I get back to the car I’m tossing it into the forest or leaving it at the trailhead for someone else to find. That rock is definitely coming home with me though.

Yeah, another reason I like stick, I will break it and leave it behind. I don’t have any sticks at home. Rock might be too tempting

Sticks can be lightsabers, great swords, staves, walking sticks, katanas, guitars, hockey sticks/golf clubs, and hundreds of other things.

    A rock is a rock.

Rock. It will last through the ages/random moves. Its small and portable but substantial enough to be satisfying. My only concern is id be afraid id try to skip it across a lake and lose it.

You can make a perfect rock way easier than you can make a perfect stick.
