    It’s more like rich people say their life is also hard and that money isn’t everything, pretty people saying the same but with looks, and Lemmy people saying a bit more money and having a bit more looks sure would help a lot in life.

        So you mean to say Lemmy people would say “love doesn’t matter”? Because I would argue otherwise. In general people on Lemmy are complaining there isn’t enough love and compassion in the modern world, and too much hate and fear.

    I just love your normal posts though! I want more of your unique style with your name on it. I don’t usually feel like I have anything worthwhile to say about them, but I always upvote them when I see them!

          not guilty, even if yes, i am disappointed a bit when i see my drawn OC posts underperforming literal twitter screenshots and reddit reposts.

            What I’ve come to realize about reposts and screenshots are that they’re only the best of the best. Only the most exceptional posts and comment threads are worth sharing, and only the best of those get popular and reposted. Most of the posts those randos make don’t get as much attention, and I’m sure the ones they find the funniest aren’t the ones that go viral.

            The highest quality work isn’t grown perfect from the start, but cut back and added to multiple times, ideally by multiple people with different perspectives. For memes, it isn’t worth it to go through too many drafts, as your post still might not land regardless of what you do. If you accept that many of them won’t make it, you can throw stuff at the wall until something sticks.

                Maria, just keep doing what you’ve always done. It always brightens my day to see your posts, so even if they don’t get as much love from the broader fediverse, who fucking cares? They have shit taste anyways.

                The real reason I post so much isn’t for being popular, but for keeping the fediverse active. I see it as my sacred duty to make sure there is a new content every day, so people keep coming back for more and maybe decide to post themselves. When people do post more in certain comms, I actually post less because I don’t need to prop them up. Lately I haven’t been as consistent in certain comms because they’ve seen a spike in new posts, and it’s nice to take a breather every once in a while. Comms are healthier when I’m not necessary for their continued existence.

                Basically, you don’t need to be me to contribute to the fediverse. It’s much better if we have a variety of unique voices than if we have 1000 TotallynotJessicas. Just keep being you
