Is it? Does reliable, secure ID delivery really have “little extra value”?

Home mail delivery isn’t secure ID though, and most mail doesn’t require that in the first place. And when it is necessary it’s still available.

Home delivery is quite a bit less secure than community mailboxes.

Community mailboxes all have locked boxes with a designated key to access…

There are very few household mailboxes that have anything to secure the mail. Either it’s a box on the street or a box on your porch, or a slot in your front door maybe.

The street boxes and porch boxes rarely have keys or locks. Anyone can take your mail.

you would have signed if you had a community mail box just the same.

maybe inform yourself before arguing a point you don’t understand

Also I addressed that very point in my previous comment, which you promptly proceeded to ignore

And when it is necessary it’s still available.
