They didn’t provide any sources, any examples, anything about which specific socialist countries were doing this or when, literally nothing besides a bombastic, inflammatory interjection of the most obscene anticommunist drivel.
I was getting dogpiled in that group chat for supporting communism so I wasn’t feeling up to challenging this person in the moment, but it really stuck with me how much nonsense the average person has internalized regarding communism and socialist states.
