    Interesting, if I’m reading that right they pronounce it “pengin”. They usually just take the English words for stuff like that though.

      It is indeed “pengin”.

      There’s another word for them too: 人鳥 (jinchou), literally “human bird”. But it is much, much less common than ペンギン.
