Most of the people who say they want to go back to the 1950s for political reasons don’t mean it. They just want to cherrypick certain things and claim everything used to be better. As with anything, there’s a lot of extra details, but I’d be willing to bet that a lot of these folks want the casual racism but not the taxes.

They nominees are the ones who win the primaries, regardless of who the DNC wants the nominees to be.

All of this is fleeting. If the govt decides to deny you access to anything online, they can and will. The only ones left communicating will be on radios. Backups of individual sites are great and all, and necessary, but they mean next to nothing on a grand scale if a government makes such decisions.

At this point in the timeline it is an eventuality everyone should be aware of.

Of course, there are economic reasons why internet access en masse probably won’t get shut off at the tap(s). But it may end up being the case that true, free communication, as we think of it currently, is impossible due to restrictions on speech through automoderation, or just good old coercion through fear.

Call me when they remove the corporate interests and the DNC listens to Dem voters about nominees.

But at a certain point, it’s still a cop out. And part of the trick. If you drown anyone in enough bullshit, you can’t expect it to all get called out – but that doesn’t mean it’s not all bullshit. It is divide and conquer in another form.

You also can’t do shit with their service, app and web, if you’re on a VPN. It just refuses. Even – and this may be illegal – unsubscribing from their emails.

Considering that just about every AAA game is now released as an awful, rushed mess (for $70), I hope they take their time.

Lots of old cars. You can get 80s and 90s Rolls Royce for very cheap from private sellers. Some late 70s / early 80s Ferraris (like the 308) can be had for under $10k.

Mind you, they’re still incredibly expensive to maintain and thus not terribly practical, but the cost to entry can be far lower than most would think.
