    i remember the first WTF moment after spending $20+ at a burger joint, on the same thing i used to get for ~$11. why do people still go to any of these places? they’re not cheap, fast, or good-- you can get away with having 2 out of 3 of those, but every place is 0 for 3 now

    I don’t eat out a ton, but I ran by a taco bell the other day driving from one location to another for work, and their “value items” were $2.79+. They used to be $1. Hell, the small drink was $2.79, WTF?! I drove off. I’d have spent over $10 trying to save money.

      I know this is just lifestylism, but unironically one of the few handful of subreddits I enjoy are r/BuyItForLife and r/anticonsumption for this reason.

      The porks are counting on the fact “The poors will buy it anyway.” so I don’t.
