Sadly it’s the norm :/ Snakes are hardy, so they survive a setup like that, and breeders don’t really need more than survival and reproduction.
Go on basically any youtube video of a snake breeder showing off their collection and you’ll see a rack setup much like in the OOP. The best tub-keeping I’ve seen is what SnakeDiscovery do, so you can in fact even do it decently. The people who don’t bother are repulsive
The funniest part of this video for me is that one of my neighbors growing up did in fact get arrested for breeding illegal reptiles.

Headshape is not a reliable indicator of venomousness. This species is harmless to humans, i think it’s one of the Gonyosoma ratsnakes.
