Ok, that’s actually really funny, idk about your fancy cable type though.
Tries to plug it in thinking you remember the orientation. Fails. Flips it over. Tries again. Fails. Flips it again. Fails. Reaches and takes pic with phone in barely accessible space and realizes it was the correct orientation the first time. Spend the next frustrating 90 seconds trying to get it aligned…
When it goes in…
And sometimes the internal part of the port sticks out, so there’s a ridge that makes it ten times harder to get the alignment right…
when it goes in, it does feel good though
thats right the square hole
that video still lives rent free in my head … it’s way too hilarious
There is a special place in hell for engineers who design asymmetric cable connections.
Don’t tv come with a hinge wall mount to easily access the ports?
what that sounds like some futuristic science fiction level stuff
Plugs HDMI on tv
Still no signal
Those few moments you get to feel like a kid who crawls under the furniture again ❤️
Until you have to stand back up and your knees feel like they’re going to explode
and your back like you just asked it to do impossible things

I wish TVs just had DP, granted some have USB C so it is alt mode.
It won’t do much good on the tv. You should try putting it in the tv port instead.
If it’s on the TV, maybe I’ll remember where to find it.
Want a life pro tip? Put your phone in selfie mode and put it underneath the TV pointing up to where the hole is and you can see it. That makes putting the cable in a lot easier in my experience. If it’s downwards facing ports, it’s super easy. If it’s backwards facing, it’s a bit harder, but the second point of view really helps out.
Good tip, but if you are hanging a TV… plug them in before you hang said TV.
Gotta rotate the plug at least 3 times before it’ll go in too.
I got a USB-A to go in on the first try last week for a new mouse at work, and it felt incredible
swish
It’s like sinking a 3 pointer after the buzzer.

Plug in cables before you hang the TV on the wall.
Or even better, get a mount that lets you pull the TV away from the wall and turn it because you might want to plug something in after mounting it.
and never buy any new device, console etc!
When I hung my TV here, I ran one long cable to a tuner on a built-in shelf in the other of the room. It’s a lot easier to get to the back of that and, as a bonus, it has more ports (and a better speaker setup in case I decide to go that way).
That said, even if only using the TV’s ports, there’s no reason you can’t plug in the cables on the TV side, then however you prefer, secure the unplugged ends for use with future devices.
gtfo with your forethought }:(
People have been unusually kind to me recently, so I no longer have an exact count, but this is one of the top, I don’t know, twenty kindest things someone has said to me, especially recently.
So thanks and, out of gratitude, I’ll try.
i hope you’re being sarcastic lol
to be clear i was trying to be funny, maybe i went a bit overboard
