In the Lyft app it even specifically mentions this feature’s availability for non-binary people along with women - which I very much so appreciate

The shame is that this option is needed. Toxic masculinity is so prevalent and infiltrates everything. Boys not raised well. Sad.

I have a real issue with you adding not able to be raised well. As a father of a boy. Let me tell you it’s absolutely the parents. You can raise boys well.

And if you are the only person in the world that would be enough, but selfish assholes like you are why the world is so broken cause its not and never will be

Assuming what youre doing is enough cause in your little emotional ass world it is (according to you, the world disagrees but to you other people don’t even exist based on your “logic”)

The rest of people are fucked up and your doing exactly nothing to change it and your guilty ass conscience brought you to the comment section to pretend your above everyone to feed the need to be better without actual reality to back you up

Fuck your shitclown attempt at playing for a crowd here dude instead of any kind of nuanced understanding of the issues

Just to be clear: this is not about protecting people.

This is just another squeeze, wringing the next few drops of accountability out of their sector.

They’re not really employing the drivers, so they’re not responsible for vetting them. And they’re not really selling rides, so they’re not responsible for what happens during one.

So what’s next? “Oh, we told drivers to get interior cameras, we told riders to be careful, we gave them checkboxes!”

Anything at all that they can spin as a value-add to shareholders, rather than allowing for any amount of responsibility towards the well-being of people who interact with their systems.

please tell me there is no penalty to those women taking this option. It would be so easy for Uber to pull a “only $5 more” to get a ride or “5% less” to avoid a rider.

We should cut the nation in half down the middle, male side and female side. We’ll have gender embassies to coordinate economic matters. Every 10 years we’ll all send our most fit and fertile to meet in the gender demilitarized zone for breeding. Better yet, maybe we can establish a reproductive material trade so we never have to see each other.
