This logic could be equally applied to basically all fetishes.

Are all people who jerk off to inflation pornography doomed to hurt themselves by trying air inflation of their bodies in real life? What about people who are into CNC? Do they inevitably get bored of it and go do actual removed? Hell, what about even just bog standard sadists? Is there an inevitable hedonic treadmill from enjoying spanking to getting into torture simulation to getting off to real snuff films to becoming a serial killer in real life?

I know this sounds like question begging, but genuinely, what about lolicon stuff is so special that it would uniquely lead to people seeking out or engaging in sexual abuses in real life?

I understand it’s especially taboo and gross, I’m certainly grossed out by it myself, but this logic doesn’t square to me.

Bit late on this, but drawn CSAM is used by predators to groom minors by getting them to see themselves as legitimate targets of sexual interest by adults. That doesn’t really apply to other fetishes.

This doesn’t suggest an inherent issue with the material itself, though.

I have been groomed as a minor myself and I assure you that the art wasn’t some magic key that made it possible, it was ultimately as always my personal relationship with my groomer that made the process work. Banning lolicon stuff won’t fix that, and given how many survivors of grooming I’ve met who end up into it or adjacent things that are usually also banned by these laws, seem to me that it’d end up hurting far more victims than it helps.

As far as I could tell 99.9% of lolicon art (I do not approve of the term drawn CSAM unless it’s a drawing based off a real child) had absolutely no association with actual predators at all and was just drawn by and for weird weebs anyway.
