Less “corporate punk” more “Jeff Bezos is forcing us to install anti-homeless spikes on our clothing”
no free loader is going to use my shoulders for themselves, anyway back to creating proprietary SaaS products from libre projects

Nothing says ‘punk’ like an Amazon logo unironically embroidered onto your jacket
Even ignoring the incompatability of corpo-punk this is still an atrocious fit
This is what I mean when I say punk is only an aesthetic
Nah, punk is an ethos, it never died, and the “punk” aesthetic has little to do with punk. For example Ms Rachel is punk as fuck, whereas this clown is just corporate.
But we’re saying the same thing I bet.
punk is an ethos
+1
Nothing is more punk than a really drunk hard-core front man incoherently trying to rant about the importance of loving each other
There are still people trying to do things independently, just nobody sees it because we’re not posting on TikTok and Instagram.
I work as a technician in an independent venue, lots of manual labour, doing twelve hour shifts, and also run a cassette label. I record everything myself, dub the tapes myself, make and print all the artwork myself, ship it all internationally on my own. I’ve organised unions and gone on strike at venues, won tribunals against employers.
I will agree though that a lot of libs exploit the good will of DIY community in bad faith.
do ya think he paid extra for those holes in his pants /boomer
Absolutely
Guy like that has never worn out a pair of jeans in his life
And it seems people cant wven get that right
I don’t think anyone has ever actually been punk in the entire history of forever
It’s impossible, you can’t do it

Compare that performative poser dickhead to the actual Punkest guy on Earth:

Who is this? (I’m a posuer)
As already mentioned he was the founding member of Minor Threat (legends of the 80s hardcore scene) and Fugazi (seminal post-punk), but his uncompromising ethos was what truly made him punk. He was the founder of Dischord Records, a fiercely DIY label that set hard price limits (about half the industry average for CDs and vinyl) and refused corporate distribution channels. Now a lot of indie labels also follow this practice, but what made Dischord so unique was the massive amounts of money thrown at them from major labels during the height of the 90s alternative rock boom. Fugazi turned down a $10 million deal with Atlantic to retain their independence when every label was frothing at the mouth to sign them. They refused to work with Ticketmaster and other commercial outlets despite their growing popularity. All of their shows remained $5 and all-ages for as long as it could be sustainable.
Oh its Ian McCay gotcha - never seen his face before
Ian Mackaye. Leader singer of Fugazi. Good band.
Oh cool, didnt recognize him! I could never get into fugazi but I like some minor threat
and Minor Threat
I’m just a poser
I’m into punk bands like “Amazon Hourly Worker Stuck In The Wage Cage”, you probably don’t know of them.
Holy fuck this is embarrassing
i hate it but he looks so damn pleased with himself i just can’t be mad at him. i really hate it a lot though
Ah yes, raging against one’s own machine. Next you be stealing copper from the DC guys just to get your cube mates a Keurig.
Also, why is his beard packed with chow mein from Panda Express?
this is a sex thing right
he’s hoping to be humiliated and/or beat in the crotch with mallets
right
“corporate punk” what, like the Sex Pistols?
S*x pistols, please, otherwise its nsfw

h*ntai
I’m usually a “wear whatever you want at any age” person, but the letterman jacket is one of those articles that has an expiration date

:corporate-punk: has legs. It’d make a nice insult emoji for radlibs and tech goobers.

Fuck Image toolbox took away my png
What the actual fuck is that facial expression supposed to be?
