It is funny though - letting the mask of socially-mandated small talk fall off, and just being in the presence of people you know you vibe with. Could do better with expressing the deep care for one another, but if we haven’t driven each other off yet with our antics throughout the process of emotionally maturing, we feel the care, connection, and acceptance of all we do. One reason the “Will and Harper” documentary made me sob; just undaunted support between friends who are there for who you are with no other expectations.
Basically this. I already know my friends and when we have (rare) time together why would I waste it talking about the most boring part of my life: work.
