Ive listened to a few episodes but I can’t really parse through the rampant sarcasm from both the community and the hosts themselves as to what the general consensus is in regards to considering them “left” or what theyre even all about. Some of the things they say and talk about are typical liberal/reactionary nonsense and I saw a post on here yesterday about brace and the comments were typical. I mean…They call themselves the most liberal podcasts out there and Brace brags about how rich he is from podcasting so I haven’t been able to form any type of concrete analysis of them without knowing if theyre being serious about what theyre saying.

Their Patreon stats currently say $185,800/month. They’re certainly not Nancy Pelosi rich, but that’s above the 90th percentile for annual income in the USA
~~There are three people making the podcast, himself, Liz, and the unfortunately-named Young Chomsky, so that’s a little under 62k, which is below median income for someone living in San Francisco (69k), which is where he lives. It’s almost exactly the national median income. ~~
Also I think that number might be before Patreon’s cut (which isn’t huge but also isn’t trivial), but I’m not sure.Edit: See the bottom of this chain
The median income in San Fransisco is $69k per month?
Yes, the median individual income is: https://datacommons.org/place/geoId/0667000?mprop=income&popt=Person&cpv=age%2CYears15Onwards&hl=en
Both pay and prices are much higher on average in bigger cities, if that’s why it seemed strange.
That’s the median yearly income, not monthly. They are making the median income on a monthly basis. They are absolutely loaded lol. (Or at least will be if it keeps holding for a couple more years.)
Oh geez, my bad
Sorry for the switch between monthly and annual, it probably would have been clearer to just work with annual numbers 😅
Isn’t that saying per year?
