Still waiting for you to explain why Ukraine has been in a civil war since 2008. It’s incredible how you keep avoiding with the elephant in the room. People don’t take up arms against the government when their democratic rights are respected.

Meanwhile, here’s some CNN reporting for you

But Putin undoubtedly has reaped the rewards of a political landscape tilted dramatically in his favor. The Levada Center, a non-governmental polling organization, consistently reports Putin’s approval rating at over 80% – an eye-popping figure virtually unknown among Western politicians, and a substantial increase on the three-year period before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Ukraine has been in a civil war

Apparently Putin denied for a long time that any Russian forces were fighting in eastern Ukraine, trying to split eastern Ukraine from the rest of Ukraine, but then in 2015 Putin admitted that some Russians were in eastern Ukraine “dealing with certain tasks, including in the military sphere”. This was after two members of Russian special forces were captured in eastern Ukraine.

Remember of course that Russia has a history of doing covert things and denying those things. They poisoned Alexander Litvinenko in 2006, they poisoned Sergei Skripal in 2018, they poisoned Alexei Navalny in 2020, yet they denied doing all those things. What I’m getting at is that Russia is probably doing lots of things that we’re not even aware of. They were probably employing every underhanded tactic they could in order to split the Donbas from Ukraine.

But Putin undoubtedly has reaped the rewards of a political landscape tilted dramatically in his favor

Of course the political landscape is tilted in his favour. Alexei Navalny was a prominent opposition politician and look what happened - the Russian state poisoned him in 2020. Boris Nadezhdin tried to be an opposition candidate in last year’s Russian presidential election, and he wanted Russia to end its invasion of Ukraine. Surprise surprise, reasons were found to disqualify Boris from standing in the election.

The Levada Center, a non-governmental polling organization, consistently reports Putin’s approval rating at over 80%

Not surprising in any way, given that expressing political dissent in Russia will get you arrested, or poisoned, or killed (Navalny was poisoned, Litvinenko was killed). There are probably many Russians who would like a different president to Putin, but they know that if they express their views, they may well be punished.

The discussion isn’t about Putin. The discussion is about whether people living in Donbas want to be part of Ukraine or not. The fact that you continue deflecting from that exposes utter lack of intellectual integrity on your part.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has banned all opposition parties and independent media. Again, a fact that’s widely reported by western media. https://www.npr.org/2022/07/08/1110577439/zelenskyy-has-consolidated-ukraines-tv-outlets-and-dissolved-rival-political-par

It’s funny how trolls like you just memorize a handful of talking points and all you know how to do is to regurgitate them. I guess if you had capacity for critical thinking you wouldn’t be supporting fascism.

You were the one who raised the fact that Putin supposedly has a high approval rating. You literally brought that point up yourself.

Whatever. You love sucking vatnik cock, so whatever. Go ahead and do that.

There’s nothing supposed about that. The West’s response to the war immediately devolved into this insane, open season on anything and everything Russian. We’re talking about regular people getting banned from sports and arts, calls for collective punishment, and just a flood of the most vile, racist garbage directed at Russians as an ethnic group. It went from “we hate Putin’s regime” to “we hate you people” in about five seconds flat. And that was a gift from heaven for the Kremlin. They’ve been saying for years that the West secretly despises all Russians and wants to see Russia broken up and erased as a culture. This completely nuked the domestic pro Western opposition.

A huge chunk of the population, including many who didn’t even like Putin, circled the wagons as a result. When you’re being told by the entire “international community” that you’re subhuman orc because of your leader’s actions, you tend to rally around the flag as a form of self defense. The West’s blatant chauvinism and racism ended up solidifying Putin’s power in a way he could never have managed on his own.

Again, this is something that would be obvious to anybody who has a couple of brain cells to bang together. But here you are!

Especially love how you immediately devolve into homophobia since you can’t actually make any coherent argument. Thank you for finally exposing yourself as the vile piece of human garbage that you really are.

My view is that Ukrainians and Russians should be able to live in peace in their respective countries. So that would mean that Ukraine should not be invaded, Russia should not be invaded, and no other country should be invaded.

But unfortunately Putin and his colleagues decided to invade Ukraine and murder people there. I definitely don’t blame average Russians for that. Not in any way. Many Russians clearly don’t support Putin, but if they are brave enough to voice this view, they can be put in prison for many years, or in fact the Russian state may poison them.

You can pretend to be moral all you like, but if you support Russia’s murderous invasion of Ukraine (which seems to be true), then you are immoral.

I love how you just keep regurgitating your propaganda points. Once again, why did the people of Donbas rise up against the regime. Answer this simple question fascist. They were fighting against the regime for over 8 years before Russia interfered. Western media has openly reported on the human rights abuses against Russian speaking population.

The fact that you refuse to engage with the facts of the situation shows that you lack even a shred of intellectual integrity. You are a fascist and I have nothing else to say to you. Scum like you just wants to see other people die for their entertainment.

People who are pro-Russia have alleged “human rights abuses” supposedly committed by Ukraine towards Russians or Russian-speaking people in Ukraine. Something I find interesting though is that the ICJ, the UN’s court, said this:

the Court is not in possession of evidence substantiating the allegation of the Russian Federation that genocide has been committed on Ukrainian territory

Maybe Russia should prove their allegations. I don’t think you’re interested in the truth though. I think you’re interested in a fascist conquest of Ukraine’s land.

The truth is that all you know is how to do is regurgitate the Russia bad talking points you’ve memorized. Meanwhile, you’re utterly unable to engage with the fact that Ukraine has been in a civil war for the past 8 years.

the fascist regime in Ukraine that you actively support is not even trying to hide being fascist. You are the most imbecilic troll I’ve seen on here, and that says a lot.
