I bought these, and I don’t know if this was a brilliant or idiotic idea.

All of them are inspection date December 2024, manufactured December 2021. I bought them from a seller who was selling them at <$5 a unit at a bulk rate.

I’m not sure if two cases was the right play though. Split one with my roommate tho (Chicken Burrito Bowl MRE) and he liked it.

Just make your way through them, don’t store them away. Unlike a soldier in the field, you can use your home seasonings and condiments to perk them up and add vitamins. Squeeze of lemon, little salsa, or even serve it over a bed of fresh lettuce.

If kept in a dry, room temp environment, those things will be good for 10+ years.

I’ll buy a few cases every couple of years and rotate into my natural disaster kit and use the old ones for camping/hiking.

Kids hate them, but they are so damn convenient.

+1 on using hot water though. The heaters just don’t have the punch they used to.

I checked the temperature stickers and they all seem fine, so at least the seller didn’t take them from an abandoned desert XD.

Used a flameless ration heater on one I ate tonight, it worked really well. Felt as warm as if I used a pan on the stove.
