think I remember reading that the Costco CEO said he’d fire anyone who suggested raising it. or maybe he was saying they’d have to kill him to raise it? anyway it was very unequivocal but I don’t care enough to look it up now that web search is so annoying
I’m aware of the story. I could imagine after the Costco CEO retires or passes away, Costco may undergo enshittification eventually.
