Nukes are not gonna go away, all the major powers have them and they aren’t giving them up. Stop with these useless performative actions, and build the nuke while you still can.

love to have every generation forever living under the nuclear sword of damocles “that’s just the way it is sweaty” and we wonder why everything is so fucked as we have multi generational ptsd over the constant threat of annihilation

As long as Capitalism is the dominant system, we are gonna have conflicts and Nukes have prevented another World War from happening. The big powers still are beholden to M.A.D. (Mutually Assured Destruction) Pakistan would’ve been invaded long ago if they didn’t possess nukes.

          1. america probably would have been invaded by now if it didn’t have nukes

          2. “[country] would have been invaded if not for nukes” isn’t a good enough argument to support the continued existence of nukes

like sure it’s cool if the DPRK having nukes puts the u.s. off from invading them but i would rather nobody have nukes if that fantasy were something that could be made possible

i wouldn’t be surprised if the collective psychological effect of the world existing in this way were comparable to fucking leaded gasoline, being under a constant baseline anxiety of annihilation is not good for the brain

It’s just the perpetual struggle between the government and the IRGC, two bodies of a country that want to go down separate routes.

I believe the IRGC controls the oil economy though which makes them a very powerful force but the reformist government is wrestling for control as well. Maybe someone who knows better about Iranian politics can elaborate better or correct my statement.

The government are fucking idiots then.

But also I don’t have faith in the IRGC either given how many of their officers got capped right out in the open by pissrael.

        Something is going very wrong.

Tbf removing pissraels nukes will be better for iran (and for everyone else) than iran having nukes. It is not gonna happen but still. At least this shows they are open for alternatives

That’s literally never ever happening though and no amount of calling for it will ever save them from being destroyed. They’ll be morally in the right as they slowly get encircled and eliminated.

The nukeless: We must abolish nukes because they’re WMDs and a threat to humanity.

The nuked-up: So anyways, we stopped a gas well fire by nuking it.
