    Humidity is the big difference. Florida is consistently 80-90%, whereas the NE can get there but much more frequently around 50%. It’s a huge difference in how it feels

    Plus parts of FL get like that just about year round, whereas heat waves, which only last a few days, are what get the NE that warm.

    There’s also ocean right by Tampa which provides a relatively cooling breeze (but increases humidity)
