From the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Western leftists have invoked “peace” as a slogan — as if peace were not already at the heart of every Ukrainian’s daily prayer. They warn the world not to “provoke” the Kremlin, as if Ukraine’s restraint could halt Russian missiles. For Ukraine’s own leftists, though, the prospect of total annihilation has laid bare how hollow abstract pacifism sounds when survival itself is on the line.

While I admit I could have been a little bit less confrontational (my bad on that), I believe I did provide justified examples around why I have a skeptical attitude towards western leftists.
I cited both major political figures (not only in English-speaking countries) and academics.
I also have to admit that I lied, I did recognize the names but put no effort to remember. In any case, sure, I agree that European prominent leftist political movements are a little bit iffy on the war side. In general they think or say that any violence is bad, and that Ghandi’s strategy works every time. I agree that that’s a way too idyllic point of view but again, that was not the point I wanted to clarify in this comment chain xD
