    ground water is like a microcosm of climate change discourse except it’s even older than the consensus on man made warming, we’ve been banging this warning bell and explaining the problem for decades, dealing with dozens of knock on effects but agricultural interests have never once been persuaded to rectify the central problem of overconsumption
