Sounds like they’re being lazy and avoiding work, isn’t that grounds for taking away their healthcare?

The best take I keep hearing is that the actual Epstein files are largely meaningless when there are plenty of victims that could just be asked who they were victimized by. But since this has nothing to do with justice or actually protecting women they’ll never do that and instead they’ll just keep focusing on these files that aren’t really needed at all.

The American legal system is designed to let predators silence these victims. If people start naming CEOs without any actual evidence they will get immediately sued to oblivion. People can just deny the claims and move on, as the rich and powerful already do every day.

IMO one of the biggest reasons the files aren’t released is the legal onslaught it will initiate in its aftermath. People can be named but if they were never tried in court the claims will not stand, not against the ultra rich legal armies, not in modern Amerikkkan society

Bloomer: Dems actually trying to force votes on something seemingly consequential to the GOP big tent coalition

Doomer: Dems never miss an opportunity to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

I think the attention span thing really comes down to how easily Trump himself can be corralled into shutting up. He keeps bringing up Epstein unprompted, which leads to further interest and questions, which leads to Trump getting mad, which leads Trump into mentioning Epstein unprompted. The Democrats at least know to say absolutely nothing and ignore the topic completely. Trump’s handlers so far haven’t been great at this.

I dunno. People are going to Trump rallies and holding up Jeffrey Epstein/Trump photos. You want to ruin his fucking presidency, let’s fund some banners to hang all over the country.

Can’t they just like…bring it up again in September? I know collectively we have a short attention span, but Epstein stuff has been going on a long time and surely a couple more months won’t matter?

Tbh delaying a vote on this seems worse because it’s only going to get closer to the election and any dem who wants to win (they’ve been known to fumble before) will bring this up repeatedly.
