- Brush: Boti Laminate brush with motherlode knot
- Razor: Gillette Ball-End Tech
- Blade: Feather new Hi-Stainless
- Lather: Catie’s Bubbles – Florentine Fern
- Post Shave: Speick – Men Active
July 22nd, 2025: Moarteen
- Brush: Ever-Ready - 400 w/Motherload 30mm Synthetic
- Razor: Koraat 15/16 Full Hollow - Sub Exclusive ‘Moarteen’ (16)
- Lather: Fanzine Saponifications - Test… Test… 123 - Soap
- Post Shave: Pinaud - Clubman Special Reserve - Aftershave
- Post Shave: Dove - Men+Care Ultra-Hydra - Cream
- Fragrance: Cross/Cut - Warm Woods - EdC
The razor felt tuggy for the first time that I remember. By the 3rd pass, though, things felt great. It’s possible that my lather wasn’t hydrating the whiskers properly. This is the first batch of Fanzine test soap, and I adore it, but it has a wide range of water options. By the 3rd pass I think I had it dialed in a bit better for this type of shaving.
The results are excellent. Very close, and despite the tugging I didn’t get any irritation.
It would not be unusual for you to start feeling differences in the edge between 15 and 30 shaves. Let me know when you want a Jnat edge on that :)
I may do that after giving it another couple of shaves…

- Brush: AP Shave Co. Blue & Clear - Gelousy (A3) 28mm Badger
- Razor: GEM Micromatic Clog-Pruf
- Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (12)
- Lather: Stirling - Deep Blue Sea - Soap
- Post Shave: Stirling - Deep Blue Sea (+ menthol) - Aftershave
- Post Shave: Ginger’s Garden - Unscented (+menthol) - Balm
- Fragrance: Barrister and Mann - Ubrique - EdP
Not bad for a bluesday. This Clog-Pruf is a gentle razor while still being quite efficient. What else could you ask for?
Glad to see Bleu Man being brought out for Bleu Teusday 😂
It’s always an enjoyable shave! :)

- Brush: Zenith MOAR BOAR
- Razor: EldrormR Industries MM24
- Blade: GEM PTFE (6)
- Lather: Stirling Soap Co. - I, Rich Moose (Sub Exclusive Mutton Base) - Puck
- Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. - Unscented - Aftershave
- Osma: Osma - Osma
- Bowl: Georgetown Pottery - G20
Sub Moos showed up yesterday and I was psyched to try it. The scent is slightly different from Irisch Moos (some have said it’s more like the EdT which I’ve never tried), but truth is I prefer this version of the scent to the original. And the mutton tallow base knocks it out of the park as always—I think it may be my favorite.

- Brush: Brad Sears Scotsman XL 28mm Super Badger
- Razor: Iwasaki 13/16" Full Hollow Square Point Tamahagane
- Lather: Ariana & Evans - Daniele Maullu Legacy - Soap
- Toner: Thayers - Cucumber - Toner
- Aftershave: Ariana & Evans - Daniele Maullu Legacy - Aftershave
- Fragrance: Creed - Royal Oud
- Talc: Yardley Gold
2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
The Daniele Maullu set was a gift from one of my YT subscribers. I am very thankful. This was a very kind gesture.
I’ve heard very good things about this soap base and about the scent that Peter Charkalis created but, honestly, I was concerned that the MdC-inspired glass jar and the large frosted glass aftershave bottle might be more marketing than special bespoke packaging.
For me, the experience was terrific. The lather is rich and creamy, and it is very slick. I think the scent is great. Right up my alley. You can research the notes but, to me, it does come across as described; a barbershop scent with oud. I think it is well blended and feels sophisticated. I’d say, the scent strength is medium in both the soap and splash. I though Royal Oud was a perfect fit to finish this off.

- Brush: AP Shave Co. black & clear handle w/ 30 mm Tuxedo Fan knot
- Razor: Ever-Ready 1912 SE
- Blade: Personna GEM PTFE
- Lather: Chiseled Face - Ghost Town Barber
- Post-Shave: Lavera Men sensitive ASB
-> single pass pass on the dome and around the beard.
A really good fast shave. Very comfortable too. GTB is a soap I can always rely on to get things done fast.
Unfortunately the day is overshadowed by Ozzy Osbourne passing away. I always thought he’d be like Mick Jagger and seemingly live forever. RIP Ozzy, you’ll be sorely missed. Time to blast some Sabbath…

- Brush: Trotter Handcrafts Gothic 26mm Manchurian T1 Badger Knot

- Blade: Gillette Nacet [9]
- Lather: Hendrix Classics & Co - Roasted - Soap
- Post Shave: Gentleman’s Nod - Sidama - Aftershave

Another sub member mentioned this soap, and I’m glad I picked it up. Scent-wise it’s very reminiscent of SBSW Coffee Spoons.
